Thomas Streutgers

Sneaky Sneakerz!?

It's gonna get you, this new hammond quartet in the classical jazz line-up of Tenorsax (Thomas Streutgers), Hammond Organ (Elvis Sergo), Guitar (Florian Hierdeis) and Drums (Maarten Kruijswijk).

Four experienced and seasoned musicians from the Amsterdam and Haarlem jazz scene honour their heroes, such as Gene Ammons, Sonny Rollins, Jimmy Mcgriff, Milt Buckner, Brother Jack McDuff, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Grant Green.

A 96% self-written jazzy repertoire, which consists of Souljazz, Surf, Calypso and fat Shuffles. Contemporary with respect to the tradition. Elvis' filthy organ and virtuosic feet, Thomas' warm and screaming sax, Florian's clear lines and Maarten's extreme swing are irresistible and guarantee a swinging, energetic and danceable mix.
